So I must say for the most part I've been pretty happy with Windows 7.
One of the things that heads at Microsoft decide to do was to retire the documents and settings folder and move everything to a Users folder. But they didn't remove the documents and setting folder, it's still there. Just one more thing for me to try to remember as I setup machines for user at my job...
So I had a user who wanted their auto complete contact list moved from their old windows xp machine to their new Windows 7 machine.
So I sort of new what file had to be moved from XP but I couldn't remember figure out where to move it to in Windows 7. Some digging around online I found this site.
http://www.neondemon.com/archives/how-to-move-outlook-auto-complete-address-list
So the old location and new locations is this
For Windows XP: “C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\”
For Windows 7: “%appdata%\Microsoft\Outlook\”
But what I found out is that you need to create the Microsoft and Outlook folder in windows 7, Since Windows 7 actually stores those folder in a different directory under appdata.
Oh the joys of Microsoft.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE
I know I've said it in the past, put it's been far too long. So I decide that maybe I should make this into more of a tech blog or just a general info blog about what I find from day to day from being a new dad to working with in Computer industry to being a Husband, home owner.
Guess I'll see where this takes me.
All for now.

Grows like a weed
Hard to imagine that my son will be 5 months old, I look at his new born pictures and it hard to believe that he use to look like that.
Last weigh in he was just under 16 pounds so he has already double his birth weight.
Here's some pictures over the last few months.

Less then a month now....
So its less then a month now before I'll be a dad. Hard to believe that it's already been 9 months. My wife is ready for the little guy to come out.
I've been thinking a lot lately and the one thing that sticks out in my mind is that becoming a parent will truly change your life. Because of the little guy, and let me remind you he has yet to arrive.
1. I'm back in school working toward my Bachelor's degree
2. I'm eating healthier and starting to work out.
3. I'm trying to be wiser about my money
4. Baby proofing my house...
Well here's to my son, when ever you arrive, thank you for kicking me in the ass to get me ass in gear.

Not sure why, but I felt the need to tinker and make something this weekend. I came across the article and thought these would be fun, easy, and cheap to make.
